Coach Given Incentive Not to Cheat
San Diego State football Coach Denny Stolz will have part of his salary withheld every year as an incentive to keep his program free of NCAA sanctions.
Athletic Director Fred Miller said that the arrangement was one of the conditions presented to all applicants interviewed for the job.
The agreement calls for the placing of $10,000 in wages in a bank account, where it will collect interest and will be turned over to Stolz at the end of every year, unless the Aztecs run afoul of the NCAA.
