Air Crash Kills 4 Near San Diego

CREST, Calif. —
Four people were killed in the crash of a single-engine airplane that smashed into a hillside in foggy weather, authorities said today.
The plane went down Thursday night in an undeveloped area of Crest, about 25 miles east of San Diego. Its flight plan and the identities of those on board were not immediately known. All four people carried French passports, a National Transportation Safety Board official said.
