Floating Reserve Rallies in Stretch to Win
Floating Reserve, held off the early pace by Patrick Valenzuela, moved up steadily and ran past Sun Master in the stretch to win the $35,000 feature race before 18,730 fans Friday at Santa Anita.
The winner finished three-quarters of a length in front of Sun Master, ridden by Chris McCarron. Private Jungle, ridden by Alex Solis, was another 1 3/4 lengths back.
Floating Reserve ran the mile in 1:34 4/5 on a fast track and paid $7, $3.80 and $3.80. Sun Master paid $5 and $3.80; Private Jungle returned $5 to show.
