Pasadena : Forensics Team Triumphs

The Pasadena City College forensics team took top honors during two weeks of national competition with 65 other college teams at the UCLA national forensics tournament. The 20-member Pasadena team accumulated the most points for all events and won the sweepstakes award for the two-year college division.
Joe Botano, Timothy Todd, Jeanne McGuire and Betty Wong had the highest score for theater ensemble acting and Botano and Todd took second in two other categories. Other first-place winners were Anna Alejan and Michelle Jones.
The Pasadena City College program, led by Patrick Brown, offers training for careers in communications, law, education, business and political sciences.
