Corona del Mar Girls Stay Unbeaten, 45-33

K.C. Jones scored 18 points to lead Corona del Mar High School to a 45-33 Sea View League girls’ basketball victory over University in Irvine Wednesday night. Corona del Mar played without the county’s leading rebounder, Michelle Willard, most of the night. But in her 10-minute stint she had 16 rebounds.

In other Sea View League action:

Estancia 49, Newport Harbor 37--Lisa Self paced the Eagles (4-7) with 15 points and 8 rebounds. Annie Foley had 8 points, 7 rebounds, 5 steals and 3 assists. Chantel Deford was high scorer for the Sailors (2-9) with 13 points.

Woodbridge 53, Costa Mesa 52--The Mustangs missed a last-second shot that would have meant victory. Gilly Powell led Woodbridge with 22 points. Carol Long led Costa Mesa with 12 points.
