Sheriff’s detectives Tuesday said they have identified the stabbing victim whose partially clad body was found Jan. 31.
He was Robert Turner Altstatt, 51, of the 1600 block of Donax Street in Imperial Beach, according to a sheriff’s spokesman.
Altstatt was found at an Interstate 8 viewpoint, a half-mile east of Willow Street. He had been stabbed numerous times and had been dragged some 30 yards from the road. He was clad only in pants.
