Another major league baseball player avoided salary arbitration. Pitcher Bob Ojeda agreed to terms with the New York Mets.
Ojeda, who had been scheduled to go to arbitration today, agreed to a two-year contract with an option for a third and will earn $500,000 the first year, $600,000 the second and $725,000 the third.
Among other notable players who went to arbitration was the Dodgers’ Orel Hershiser, whose case was heard Wednesday. A ruling is expected soon.
