Chapman Ends Season With Loss to Cal State Dominguez Hills, 76-73

Cal State Dominguez Hills defeated Chapman College, 76-73, Tuesday night at Dominguez Hills in the California Collegiate Athletic Assn. season finale for both.
The Toros (3-11) outscored the Panthers (2-12, 7-20), 11-2, in the last 52 seconds to rally from a 71-65 deficit. James Means made two free throws with 19 seconds left to put Dominguez Hills ahead to stay.
Freshman guard Tony Akins led the Toros with 17 points and senior forward William Alexander added 15.
Chapman was led by junior forward Jon Samuelson, who had 16 points, and Kelly Huston and Carl Tompkins with 12 each.
