Valley Women Beat Canyons, Win Title

The Valley College women’s basketball team Wednesday defeated College of the Canyons, 91-45, to win the Mountain Valley Conference Championship.
Jill Daniels helped Valley to a 49-25 lead at the half by scoring 14 of her game-high 24 points in the first half. Daniels ended with 30 rebounds while teammate Tina Johnson added 22 points and 15 rebounds for the Monarchs (10-1).
College of the Canyons (0-12) was led by Paula Lucas with 17 points and Penny Miller with 16.
