Corona del Mar’s Willard Girls’ MVP in Sea View

Center Michelle Willard of Corona del Mar High School has been named the Most Valuable Player of the Sea View League in a vote of league basketball coaches. Willard, a 6-foot 1-inch senior, was the Southern Section’s leading rebounder in the regular season.
The Sea Kings’ K.C Jones, a 5-7 senior guard, was also an all-league selection.
Woodbridge, which tied Corona del Mar for the league title with a record of 9-3-1, had two players on the all-league team: Gilly Powell, a 5-11 junior forward, and Kathy Millat, a 5-8 sophomore forward.
Other players selected to the all-Sea View team were 5-8 sophomore guard Felicia Chalmers (Laguna Beach); 5-9 sophomore forward Monica Walton (Saddleback); 5-8 junior forward Stephanie Swanson (Costa Mesa) and 5-10 senior center Leslie Self (Estancia).
