Leo Carrillo Memorabilia Lost in Blaze

Share

A fire of suspicious origin raced through a rural home, gutting the house and destroying memorabilia of the late actor Leo Carrillo, the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department said Sunday.

The house was owned by the daughter and son-in-law of Carrillo, who died in 1961. Carrillo was best known for his role as Pancho, the faithful sidekick in the 1950s Cisco Kid television series.

No one was hurt in the blaze, which caused an estimated $300,000 in damage. The fire was reported shortly before midnight Saturday.
