UC Santa Barbara, UCSD Win Crew Meet

UC Santa Barbara was the big winner at Saturday’s double-dual rowing regatta at Tecolote Channel on Mission Bay, beating the University of San Diego in five of six races while UC San Diego beat Loyola Marymount in three of five events.

The Gauchos won every race except the women’s varsity. The Tritons beat the Lions in the men’s varsity, women’s varsity and men’s novice heats, but lost in the men’s freshmen and women’s novice competitions.

The meet continues today, with UCSB facing UCSD and Loyola racing USD.
