Robin Krall pitched a complete-game five-hitter and added a key RBI single in the bottom of the fifth inning Wednesday to give United States International University a 3-2 win over Michigan and a split of a nonconference softball doubleheader at Morely Field.

Michigan (3-1) won the first game, 2-0, behind a three-hitter by Vicki Morrow.

In the second game, USIU trailed 2-1 before Krall’s RBI single tied the game 2-2 in the bottom of the fifth. Krall scored the winning run on a throwing error by Wolverine shortstop Mary Daviera.

In the first game, Daviera drove in the go-ahead run with a fifth-inning double.
