Olivares Rides Prince Bobby B. to Victory in Whittingham Stakes

Prince Bobby B., ridden by Frank Olivares, raced to an eight-length victory in the $42,800 Charles Whittingham Stakes for 3-year-olds Friday at Santa Anita.
Longshot Tommy The Hawk, ridden by Eddie Delahoussaye, placed second, a head in front of Delapre, ridden by Gary Stevens.
The winner was clocked in 1:15 1/5 for about 6 1/2 furlongs down the Hillside turf course.
Sent off the third choice, Prince Bobby B. paid $13, $6.60 and $4.40. Tommy The Hawk, a 36-1 shot, returned $25.60 and $9.60. Delapre paid $3.40 to show.
Prince Bobby B. tracked the leaders early before drawing clear entering the stretch.
