Sonora Moves to Second in Baseball Poll

Sonora High School, which won the 32-team Pomona tournament last week, moved into a tie for the No. 2 spot in this week’s Orange County Sportswriters’ Assn. poll with Loara, which swept a nonleague doubleheader from Lompoc Saturday.
El Dorado remained No. 1, while Empire League rival Esperanza is No. 4. The Golden Hawks will play at Loara Wednesday and at Esperanza Friday.
