Tonight’s Smith-Arredondo Bout Is Postponed
The World Boxing Council super-welterweight championship fight between champion Lonnie Smith and challenger Rene Arredondo scheduled tonight at the Olympic Auditorium has been postponed, matchmaker Jim Gilio said Wednesday.
The postponement was the fifth for the bout, which was originally scheduled to be held March 1 at the Olympic. Both fighters have had injuries that have forced postponements.
The bout was postponed this time because Smith, 23, of Denver, is suffering from an injured right arm.
