Man, 78, Killed When Car Hits Truck
A 78-year-old Westminster man died early Thursday morning when his car struck the rear of a truck on the Costa Mesa Freeway, the California Highway Patrol said.
Officials identified the victim as Leroy Joseph Grahm. They said his car was going about 55 m.p.h. northbound on the Costa Mesa Freeway when it hit a truck traveling in the same direction traveling at about 40 m.p.h. The accident occurred at 4:45 a.m. south of Katella Avenue.
Grahm was taken to Western Medical Center in Santa Ana, where he died a short time later.
