An Oceanside woman died Monday afternoon of wounds to the chest and abdomen after she was shot during an argument. Her husband was arrested in connection with the slaying.
Faurosa Pau, 27, was found shortly after 9 a.m. in the bedroom of a home in the 700 block of North Nevada Street by police responding to reports of a shooting and family disturbance.
Pau was taken by Life Flight helicopter to Scripps Memorial Hospital in La Jolla, where she died at 3:05 p.m. after surgery.
Oceanside police arrested the victim’s husband, Sione Pau, at the home of a friend. He surrendered without incident, police said.
Pau, 53, was booked into County Jail in Vista on suspicion of murder.
