Florida Golf Coach in College Hall of Fame
University of Florida’s women’s golf coach Mimi Ryan has been chosen as a charter member of the new NCAA Collegiate Golf Hall of Fame.
“I’m very honored and pleased to have been chosen to the Hall of Fame,” she said. “I’m in very good company and, needless to say, very excited about this distinction.”
Ryan, a 16-year veteran of the Lady Gator program, is the first and only coach of the Florida’s women’s squad. Since 1972, her teams have never finished lower than eighth in the nation and her efforts culminated in a first-place finish in 1985.
