Hilario Zapata of Panama scored a unanimous 15-round decision over Dodie Boy Penalosa of the Philippines to retain his World Boxing Assn. flyweight title at Manila.
Zapata, 27, scored repeatedly with right jabs and left hooks and opened a cut under the Filipino’s left eye with a barrage of jabs in the eighth round.
Zapata, who raised his record to 29-5, weighed 111 1/2 pounds. Penalosa scaled 111.
