MIAMI —
A wounded robbery suspect with an intravenous needle still in his arm slipped away from officers who were waiting for him to come out of emergency surgery at a hospital, police said Friday.
Police aren’t sure how Sherwin Gabriel, 18, who had been shot seven times, got away, Miami Shores Sgt. Jack Ulmer said. He was last seen on a stretcher with a white sheet over him, waiting to go to an operating room.
