Glendale Man Drowns in Westlake Village
A 28-year old Glendale man drowned while working on a boat in Westlake Village Wednesday, Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputies reported.
Hoa Duc Tien, 28, and another man were working on the boat at a slip off Charthouse Circle on the city’s lake, deputies said. Deputies said Tien dived below the boat and failed to come up. Tien’s companion, who could not swim, ran for help. Arriving paramedics pulled Tien from the water and tried to revive him, deputies said. However, he was dead on arrival at Westlake Community Hospital.
