A 30-year-old Garden Grove man was being sought for questioning in connection with the disappearance of his girlfriend, who may have been shot to death, a Garden Grove police spokesman said late Sunday.

Police believe that Debbie Ann Lee, who was last seen sometime Friday, was shot and killed and that her body may have been disposed of in a remote area in northeast Orange County, said the spokesman, Lt. Charles Gibbs. No body has been found.

Lee’s boyfriend, Robert Martin Gray Jr., who also has not been seen for two days, is being sought for questioning, Gibbs said.

“We have considerable evidence found at her family’s residence, her boyfriend’s travel-trailer and from a scene we suspect is a grave,” Gibbs said.

Police are conducting an extensive search for Lee and her boyfriend, who is considered armed with a gun and dangerous. Gibbs said police are “certain” that the woman is a homicide victim.

A possible grave site was examined late Sunday but no body was found. Gibbs declined to release information about the site and its location or any police evidence about the woman’s disappearance, other than to say, “It indicates foul play.”

Police obtained a search warrant Sunday and examined Gray’s travel-trailer, which is parked behind the Garden Grove business he owns, Cross Radio Service, 12772 Brookhurst St.

The trailer was impounded, Gibbs said. In addition, police are searching for Gray’s white, 1970 Ford pickup with a white camper shell and black trim. Gibbs said the truck has California license 82442G.

Gray is described as white, 150 pounds, 5 feet, 10 inches tall, with brown hair, brown eyes and a brown mustache.
