Tyrell Biggs will resume his boxing career Aug. 14, after a layoff of nearly five months, in a scheduled eight-round bout against Rod Smith.
Biggs, the 1984 Olympic super-heavyweight champion, suffered a broken right collarbone in his fight against Jeff Sims March 23. The injury occurred in the second round, but Biggs fought one-handed the rest of the way and won a unanimous decision, improving his record to 9-0.
