Regarding “A New Look for Riding Hood” in The Book Trade column by Elizabeth Mehren (The Book Review, July 20).

It appears that the Ministry of Truth from Orwell’s “1984” is being kept alive and well by the likes of Mr. Bragdon. I nominate him for the “First Annual Walt Disney Bowdlerization of Children’s Classics Award.”
