County : Light Plane Lands Safely Despite Blowout
A small private plane landed safely at John Wayne Airport Sunday despite one of its tires blowing out, said an Orange County Fire Department spokesman.
The incident occurred about 1:15 p.m. when the tire on a single-engine Beechcraft plane blew out as the plane was landing, the spokesman said.
No injuries were reported.
Only the pilot was on board, the spokesman said.
Other than the flat tire, no other damage was reported to the plane.
