Clint Hurdle, who suffered a concussion Saturday when beaned by Dwight Gooden of the New York Mets, was back with the St. Louis Cardinals Sunday but not yet ready to play again.
The Cardinals said Hurdle will be kept under observation for a few days.
“Man, that guy throws hard. I didn’t know where I was for awhile,” Hurdle said Sunday. “Thank God for helmets.”
