Local News in Brief : Sun Valley Man Sought as Suspect in Slaying
Asearch was under way Saturday for a suspect in the shooting of a man found dead in an apartment complex parking lot in North Hollywood Saturday morning, police said.
A group of people had been drinking beer in the parking lot Friday evening and an argument started, Los Angeles Police Detective Howard Landgren said.
Witnesses identified the suspect as Merced De Los Santos, 38, of Sun Valley, who reportedly fled on foot, Officer Jerry Sexton said.
The victim, who was not identified, was found in the parking lot at 5930 Riverton Ave. at 5 a.m. Saturday, dead of several gunshot wounds, Landgren said.
