Bear-Hug From Perry Would Have Sufficed
I was appalled to read in Newswire that Chicago Bear William Perry was fined only $2,000 and not suspended for his violent tackle, literally slamming St. Louis quarterback Neil Lomax to the hard turf after he stopped the play with a bear-hug. This, to me, was tantamount to attempted manslaughter and does not belong in the game of football.
The media have made a celebrity out of the odious freak, and it surely is not because of his ability to play football, so you must be snookered by his intimidation tactics.
Too bad I watch my cholesterol intake, unlike Perry, or I could boycott every product he endorses.
