SDSU Women Win Volleyball Tournament
San Diego State University’s women’s volleyball team swept past the University of Rhode Island, 17-15, 15-5, 15-8, Saturday night to win the Oregon-Mizuno Classic in Eugene, Ore.
Liane Sato of San Diego State was named the tournament’s most valuable player, while teammates Kris Morton, Kim Harsch and Sally Larsen were named to the all-tournament team. Morton and Harsch each had 10 kills against Rhode Island.
Earlier Saturday, Morton had 23 kills to lead the Aztecs to a four-game victory over the University of Nebraska.
