World Champion Formula One driver Alain Prost was fined $5,000 for calling Italian Grand Prix officials “idiots” for delaying their decision to disqualify him from a race in which he took too long to join in the race in his spare car. Course officials waited until the race was almost half over before flagging Prost off the course.
