College Volleyball : Titans Place Fourth in Tournament
The Cal State Fullerton women’s volleyball team placed fourth in the six-team Golden Bear Classic Saturday.
Fullerton (3-4) was 2-3 in the tournament. Junior hitter Wendy Knapp, who had a team-high 22 kills in Saturday’s three matches, was selected to the all-tournament team.
Saturday, the Titans defeated Sacramento State, 15-12, 15-6, before losing to Santa Clara, 15-13, 9-15, 15-12, and California, 10-15, 15-7, 15-2. The Golden Bears won the tournament.
In other action:
Southern California College team defeated an SCC alumni team in women’s volleyball, 15-12, 15-4, 13-15, 16-14, in an exhibition at SCC.
SCC (0-4) plays host to The Master’s College on Tuesday.
