Fullerton Faces Big Sky Champion Idaho Today

While Cal State Fullerton prepared for its game against Idaho this week, Bryan Riggs and Mark Stephenson were sharing a hospital room and swapping stories about their respective knee operations.

Riggs and Stephenson, two of the Titans’ top pro prospects, suffered season-ending injuries in last Saturday’s 35-25 win over Idaho State.

Riggs and Stephenson were the most serious casualties, but there were others. Defensive tackle Ron McLean, a fifth-year senior, suffered strained knee ligaments. Offensive tackle Matt Fitts was bothered by a herniated disk.

Neither will play today when the Titans visit the Kibbie Dome at Moscow, Ida., to play Idaho, the defending Big Sky Conference champion. Kickoff is at 1 p.m.
