Notre Dame Beats Agoura in Water Polo
Josh Foster scored two goals in the last 30 seconds to give Notre Dame a 6-5 win over Agoura in the opening round of the eight-team Frontier League water polo tournament at Nordhoff High in Ojai.
Notre Dame was losing, 5-2, at end of third quarter, but tied the game with 28 seconds left on a goal by Foster, who scored his third goal with six seconds left to secure the win.
Kurt Marsden, James McGroaty and Scott Weber each scored a goal for Notre Dame. Eric Bowman scored four goals for Agoura.
Notre Dame (2-0) plays Santa Ynez, a 8-3 winner Friday over Nordhoff, today at 9 a.m. Agoura plays Nordhoff at 10.
