TOLEDO, Ohio —
The Detroit Tigers have signed a two-year working agreement that makes the Toledo Mud Hens the major league team’s top minor league affiliate.
The Tigers had been the Mud Hens’ parent club for seven years, 1967-73, during which the Mud Hens enjoyed their greatest success in the Class AAA International League. The Mud Hens won their only IL pennant in 1968, winning a franchise record 83 games, and won their only playoff championship in 1967.
