Santa Ana : Fiery Menudo Cook-Off to Include Fireworks

Fireworks and fiery food will highlight the U.S. Western Menudo Championship this weekend at Centennial Park.
The championship, which is the culmination of dozens of regional cook-offs to determine the West’s top menudo maker, will begin Friday at 4 p.m. and will feature food booths and arts and crafts booths as well as musical performances. The festivities will continue Saturday from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Menudo will be prepared, tasted and judged on the final day of the competition. The booths will be open and there will be musical performances all three days.
Saturday’s events will be topped by a fireworks spectacular choreographed by the National Fireworks Ensemble, beginning at 8:30 p.m.
