Mostly Sunny Skies Expected to Smile on Playoff Opener

Share

Mostly sunny weather is being forecast for the opening this afternoon of the American League’s three-game playoff stint in Anaheim.

The National Weather Service says cloudy skies this morning will become mostly sunny in the afternoon, with highs ranging up to 76 degrees. Some of the clouds might return during the evening when temperatures are expected to dip into the 60s.

Saturday afternoon’s game may be greeted with increasing cloudiness, temperatures in the low 70s and a slight chance of showers. And Sunday, when the California Angels and the Boston Red Sox head into the last of their Anaheim Stadium playoff games, the weather is expected to be pretty much a repeat of Saturday.

Those headed to the beach over the weekend should find warm weather and winds out of the west at 10 to 15 m.p.h. The water temperature is expected to be 56 to 59 degrees and a two- to three-foot surf is expected.
