San Diego Soccer : Sockers, Led by Segota, Beat SDSU in Exhibition, 3-1
Branko Segota had three goals as the Sockers defeated San Diego State, 3-1, in an exhibition match in front of 2,134 fans in the Aztec Bowl Friday night.
SDSU’s Ken Taylor scored midway through the second period.
In other college action:
Point Loma Nazarene College 2, Azuza Pacific 2 (double OT)--Point Loma center-forward Greg Rizio scored midway through the second half to tie the nonconference match at San Diego. Rizio had both of Point Loma’s goals. Azuza Pacific is 7-5-2.
Cal Poly Pomona 1, UCSD 0--UCSD is 3-4. Cal Poly is 6-4-1.
