A man who allegedly carried a three-year grudge was being sought by Los Angeles Police in the stabbing death of a 29-year-old Encino man in Woodley Park in Van Nuys, officers said.
Robert Gloisten was stabbed as he stood in the park Thursday afternoon, said Officer John Payton. Payton said a man known only as “Fat John” approached Gloisten and asked: “Remember when you burned me three years ago?”
Payton said “Fat John” then stabbed Gloisten, who died en route to a hospital.
The suspect fled and had not been caught by late Friday.
