Dallas Cowboy President Tex Schramm, an outspoken advocate of instant replay to correct National Football League officials’ mistakes, said he’s beginning to wonder if his team is getting a fair shake from officials.
Penalties have figured prominently in the Cowboys’ last two losses to the New York Giants and the Raiders.
Schramm said the officials seem to be “very conscious of the color of our jerseys,” adding that there may be a “subconscious” dislike of the Cowboys by some officials.
“They’re humans,” Schramm said. “There is no in-between with the Cowboys because of our visibility and success. You either like them or you don’t. There might be some resentment because of our image or success.”
