Irvine’s Herring Will Attend BYU
Mike Herring, a 6-foot 5-inch guard from Irvine High School, signed a national letter of intent Tuesday to attend Brigham Young University.
Herring, the son of Vaquero Coach Al Herring, has been a varsity starter since his sophomore season. He averaged 16 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists per game last year to help Irvine to a 15-13 record and a third-place finish in the South Coast League.
