Honaker Scores 28 to Lead Canyons Rout

Sophomore Kevin Honaker scored 28 points, including eight three-point shots, as College of the Canyons built a 30-point lead midway through the second half and coasted past the Marine Corps Air Station, 117-88, in a nonconference basketball game Friday night at Canyons.

Forward Anthony Himes led Canyons (1-1) with 12 rebounds and guard Ed Williams added 10 assists. The Copters’ record dropped to 0-2.
