It’s Like Shooting Fish in a Barrel

Share

The bottom half of Monday’s Page One was devoted to the elk hunt. It’s about time we get a writeup on a real sportsman. Just think of a brave man like Don Cox facing a big bull elk, quizzically looking at him, and all this poor man has is his high-powered rifle with a telescopic sight. It’s no wonder his breath stops, his heart jumps, his palms turn wet. Why, it sends chills up my spine.

Cox would no doubt have another heart attack if he could see the Lakers face a wheelchair basketball team, or how about a Super Bowl pitting the Rams against Cal, or better yet, a high school team.

He must get goose bumps all over thinking about the St. Valentine’s Day Massacre, Nazis marching into Poland, the Japanese attacking Pearl Harbor.

I’m going to write an article about shooting fish in a barrel. Cox would love it.
