LEAGUE PREVIEWS : TRI-VALLEY
MOORPARK
LAST SEASON: 4-17, 3-9 in league
THIS SEASON: Three returning starters and better depth give Coach Rick Kent cause for high expectations. “I think we’ll finish second in league,” he said. “Turnovers and foul trouble killed us last year. With our experience, that shouldn’t happen this season.” Randy Wagner, a 6-4 senior forward, will lead a three-forward, two-guard offense. Wagner averaged 13 points per game last season as a starter. Returning starters Scott D’Angelo (6-1) and Ron Delgado (6-2) will fill out the Moorpark front line. The guard position will be manned by junior Kelly Kira (6-1) and John Dunlop (5-10). Ben Margolis, a 6-2 junior forward, will be Moorpark’s sixth man.
