The industry estimate of 81,000 carloads was revised downward to 72,700 carloads, reflecting unusually small-sized fruit, reported the Naval Orange Administrative Committee, whose membership of growers and handlers administers a federal marketing order covering the flow of the fresh fruit to market. A carload consists of 1,000 40-pound cartons.
