Glendora : Auto Mall Being Planned
Glendora has begun planning an auto mall on 28 acres west of the Foothill Freeway at the intersection of Lone Hill and Allen avenues. The City Council recently approved a memorandum of understanding with Transamerica Corp., after inviting more than 30 developers to submit proposals for acquiring and redeveloping the industrial site. City spokesmen said the proposed auto mall would have eight dealerships. Mayor Ken Prestesater said the mall would increase tax revenues for the city and stimulate additional development.
