Santa Clara Ices Cold-Shooting Waves, 76-50

SANTA CLARA —
Brian Moody scored 18 points, and Dan Weiss added 17 to lead Santa Clara to a 76-50 victory over Pepperdine in a West Coast Athletic Conference basketball game Saturday night.
Santa Clara (10-6 overall, 1-1 in the WCAC) took control of the game early and rolled to a 37-18 halftime lead.
The Broncos built a 64-33 lead with 6:46 left in the game, limiting Pepperdine (4-10, 0-2) to 31% shooting. The Broncos shot 54%.
Eric White scored 15 points for Pepperdine.
