Indiana Dominates Senior Swim Meet at UC San Diego

William Kazmierowicz of UC San Diego and Marilyn Peck of Swim San Diego each won two events in Saturday’s San Diego Senior Invitational swim meet, but both the men’s and women’s competitions were dominated by the University of Indiana at UC San Diego.

Kazmierowicz won the 200- individual medley and 100-meter backstroke, while UCSD teammate Kip Fulbeck won the 100-meter butterfly and placed second in the 50-meter freestyle.

In the women’s competetion, Peck won the 500 and 1,000 freestyle events. Karla Kish of Swim San Diego was the only other local swimmer to win in the women’s competition. Swim San Diego’s Alison Maxwell finished second in the 500 freestyle and both the 200 and 400 individual medley events. Indiana’s Kate McDonald won three events.
