Toler Leads Cal State Long Beach Women to a 120-53 Win
Penny Toler scored 24 points and had a school-record 15 assists as she led Cal State Long Beach to a 120-53 win over San Jose State in a Pacific Coast Athletic Assn. women’s basketball game Thursday night at Long Beach.
Cal State Long Beach set three other school records in the game--Lisa Ellis’ 8 blocked shots and the team’s totals of 36 assists and 12 blocked shots.
The 49ers, ranked No. 5 in the nation, are 15-1 overall and 6-0 in the PCAA. San Jose State is 3-11 and 1-5.
Cindy Brown led all players with 31 points. Johnnie Thomas was high-scorer for San Jose State with 12.
