Lancaster Man Dies in Crash Near Acton
A 43-year-old Lancaster man died after losing control of his car Friday on the southbound Antelope Valley Freeway near Acton, the California Highway Patrol reported.
James S. White was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident, which occurred at 12:50 p.m., Officer Monty Keifer said. White was traveling “at an excessive speed” when the car drove onto the dirt median strip and veered back across the freeway lanes to the roadside, where White was ejected from the car, Keifer said.
